Parks and other such amenities greatly improve the quality of life in a community. The City of Edina is the fortunate recipient of many donations each year that improve its parks, adding to the quality of life enjoyed here. 

Per City policy, donations of $300 or more are published annually in the City’s newsletter, About Town, and on this website.

Donating $300 or more to the Edina Park and Recreation Department in 2007 were:

  • Edina Baseball Association, given in memory of Morgan Nesser
  • Edina Community Foundation, to the Edina Senior Center

Those who made donations of $500 or more to the Edina Park and Recreation Department in 2008 were:

  • Betty and Woody Cater, to the Edina Art Center
  • Sandra Clark, to the Edina Art Center
  • Beverly Gyllenhaal, to the Edina Art Center
  • Michael Kelly, to the Edina Art Center
  • Jerry Riach, to the Edina Art Center
  • Claire R. Schwanebeck, to the Edina Art Center
  • State Farm Company Foundation, to Braemar Golf Course
