Richard Kochenash
Richard
graduated near the top of his class, from Kutztown University with a
B.S. in Art Education and being offered a rare and immediate teaching
position, he chose instead to spend time building a personal
relationship with the One who brought him through it all. Rick directed
his journey into biblical service. These years solidified his passions
in this life and helped to set his priorities: A love for God, for
family and for art.
Richard then moved to Minneapolis to renew his art calling. He studied
under the atelier system, an arduous method of instruction which can be
traced back to the French Classical painters. Years of work were
invested to develop an artist’s eye in order to render forms direct from
nature.
Rick teaches oil painting at Edina Art Center.
