Dean Koutsky

Dean hails from Omaha, Neb. After deciding to pursue a college degree, he moved to Minneapolis where he graduated with a BFA in Illustration from Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD).

Dean has been active in the local arts community as a board member of theatre groups and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts (MIA). He also served as chairman of the board at MCAD. Dean has consulted on projects for the Weisman art Museum, College of Visual Arts, advertising groups and non-profit organizations.

Over the years, Dean’s paintings have been exhibited at MIA, MCAD, Minnesota State Fair art competitions and local art galleries. Many of his paintings have been purchased for private collections throughout the United States.

Dean teaches Friday Painters’ studio for Members at Edina Art Center.
