Programs

The Crime Prevention Division includes areas such as commercial and residential security surveys, victim services, crime statistics, media relations and community outreach services and programs. Security Survey

This on-site assessment of your home, store or office is provided at no cost to Edina residents and businesses. Fill out the form and follow the instructions to schedule an appointment.

Educational Presentations

These informative, detailed presentations are approximately 45 to 60 minutes in length and cover timely subjects including Identity Theft, Personal Safety, Bank Robbery, Residential [or Office] Security and many others. Please contact Kris Eidem, Crime Prevention Coordinator, at 952-833-9523 for more information or to schedule a meeting.

In addition, officers are available throughout the year to attend your Edina block party, safety fair, or for a classroom visit. Please contact us at least 2 weeks in advance using this online form.

Tours of the Department for scouts and other groups may be scheduled using this form or by contacting Animal Control Officer Tim Hunter at 952-826-0494.

Neighbors’ Home Watch

A program that promotes neighborhood security and communication both within the neighborhood and with the Police Department. Keep your neighborhood safe. To participate, contact the Police Department at 952-826-1610.

Operation Identification
