Michael Siitari Police Chief

As a first ring suburb with a significant retail area and three major commuter freeways, Edina has a variety of law enforcement challenges. The Police Department faces these challenges with a dedicated group of officers, dispatchers and support staff who consistently deliver outstanding police services. In 1999, 96 percent of the community affirmed this by rating our service as excellent or good.

Chief of Police Michael Siitari has worked for the Department for more than 20 years. He is a strong advocate of effective partnerships with the schools, civic organizations and commercial groups. The Department is proud of its community involvement and high level of service, and is committed to continued efforts to keep Edina a safe place to live and work.
